Useful information for motorway users is transmitted throughout the whole route, also through radio newscasts by “Inforadio” which are broadcast every 30 minutes by two local broadcasters (minutes 25 and 55, approximately),

in addition to constant updates on open events:

  • Radio NBC Rete Regione of Bolzano for the A22 section that crosses the Trentino Alto Adige Region;
  • Radio Pico di Mirandola for the remaining portion of the A22 motorway. German users can listen to news in their mothertongue by tuning into South Tyrol broadcasters;
  •  Südtirol 1 and Radio Tirol (covering the motorway from  Innsbruck to Trento); otherwise, coverage is provided through programmes transmitted by the RAS “Radiotelevisione Azienda Speciale”.

 

On the National Teletext of the RAI networks, page 648  "AUTOSTRADE a cura delle Concessionarie" provides all necessary information regarding travel and weather conditions over the entire Italian motorway network, including the A22 Brennero - Modena. On the RAI TRE Regional Teletext, on page 425 “TRAFFICO Autostrada del Brennero S.p.A.” (for Trentino-Alto Adige, Veneto, Lombardia and Emilia Romagna), information regarding travel, weather conditions and possible service delays can be seen.

Information for Italy

Italian motorway users in transit may obtain general information on traffic and road conditions and be aware of any difficulties in motorway services by listening to the radio press releases issued by the CCISS (Road Safety Information Coordination Centre), which can also be reached telephonically through the public utility number 1518, daily transmitted by “Onda Verde Viaggiare Informati” by RAI networks 1, 2 and 3 and in 45 newscasts, starting from 5:27 a.m., or by watching the RaiNews television broadcast, with its many connections to the CCISS. Information is also available in the morning hours on television channels “Channel 5” and “LA7”.

 


Information for Austria - Germany

Information on traffic for the Munich – Brenner – Modena motorway section is available by calling 0043-512-4020. The service is provided by the Innsbruck Gendarmerie Station (Austria), to which the C.A.U. transmits news about the A22.
