A Bolzano il MESSNER MOUNTAIN MUSEUM.
Il Messner Mountain Museum si trova a Castel Firmiano (a sud di Bolzano). Il MMM di Firmiano fornisce spiegazioni sulle montagne e le loro popolazioni.
È un museo autoritario, che prescrive in che modo vuole essere visitato. Un percorso conduce attorno alla "montagna sacra", davanti a vetrine, sculture, animali imbalsamati, oggetti simbolici, foto e quadri, ricordi di tante spedizioni in tutto il mondo.
Ci si arriva dall'uscita autostradale Bolzano Sud, quindi si prosegue subito a sinistra verso Merano (superstrada MEBO) e si esce alla prima uscita dopo la galleria di Castel Firmiano e si prosegue verso Bolzano. Dopo aver disceso il ponte sulla strada principale, si svolta a destra verso Ponte Adige. Arrivati al passaggio a livello e passato il ponte sul fiume Adige, proseguire a sinistra verso Cornaiano. La stradina che porta al Museo si trova dopo ca. 200 m sulla sinistra.

The custom of striking a wooden disk is carried out on the first Sunday of Lent. First a round disc of wood with a hole in the middle is transfixed on a branch. Then the disc is held into the fire until it is glowing. Afterwards it is taken out and tossed away through the dark night. The people watch the shiny piece of wood disappearing in the night. While this custom is carried out ancient rhymes are repeated.

The MART is one of the most important and famous museums of modern and contemporary art in Italy. It has two locations, in Trento and in Rovereto (the main site being in Rovereto). Buonconsiglio castle is most likely the major monumental building in Trentino - Alto Adige. It is composed of several sections attached to the city walls, from different ages; the oldest section dates back to the 13th century. Buonconsiglio castle was the residence of the "baronial bishops" of Trento from the second half of the 13th century to the secularization of the princedom (1803). The castle also hosts a museum.

The Giardino Botanico Alpino is an alpine botanical garden operated by the Museo tridentino di scienze naturali, and located in Viotte di Monte Bondone, southwest of Trento. The garden was established in 1938, damaged in World War II, and renewed in 1958. Museum für Moderne und Zeitgenössische Kunst von Trient und Rovereto
Ein wahres Prachtstück ist dieses von Mario Botta in Zusammenarbeit mit Giulio Andreolli entworfene Gebäude mit einer Fläche mit mehr als 12.000 m², von denen 6.000 der Kunst aus dem 20. und 21. Jh. gewidmet sind, und über mehr als 5.000 m² Fläche für Forschung, Didaktik und Serviceeinrichtungen verfügt. Im Erdgeschoss befinden sich die Rezeption, das Informationsbüro, der Büchershop, die Cafeteria, der Konferenzraum und die Gardarobe; im Kellergeschoss das Archiv des 20. Jh. und die Bibliothek; im ersten Stock Ausstellungsbereiche zur Zeitgenössischen Kunst, der didaktische Bereich und die Büros; im zweiten Stock auf einer Fläche von 3.800 m² befindet sich die Dauerausstellung des Museums, eine große italienische aber auch international angehauchte Kunstsammlung, vom Futurismus bis zur Gegenwart. Die didaktische Abteilung umfasst Werkstätten für Schulen und Familien. Darüber hinaus werden Fortbildungskurse für Lehrer, geführte Besichtigungen und didaktische Ausstellungen geboten. Il Messner Mountain Museum si trova a Castel Firmiano (a sud di Bolzano). Il MMM di Firmiano fornisce spiegazioni sulle montagne e le loro popolazioni.
È un museo autoritario, che prescrive in che modo vuole essere visitato. Un percorso conduce attorno alla "montagna sacra", davanti a vetrine, sculture, animali imbalsamati, oggetti simbolici, foto e quadri, ricordi di tante spedizioni in tutto il mondo.
Ci si arriva dall'uscita autostradale Bolzano Sud, quindi si prosegue subito a sinistra verso Merano (superstrada MEBO) e si esce alla prima uscita dopo la galleria di Castel Firmiano e si prosegue verso Bolzano. Dopo aver disceso il ponte sulla strada principale, si svolta a destra verso Ponte Adige. Arrivati al passaggio a livello e passato il ponte sul fiume Adige, proseguire a sinistra verso Cornaiano. La stradina che porta al Museo si trova dopo ca. 200 m sulla sinistra.

Buonconsiglio castle is most likely the major monumental building in Trentino - Alto Adige. It is composed of several sections attached to the city walls, from different ages; the oldest section dates back to the 13th century. Buonconsiglio castle was the residence of the "baronial bishops" of Trento from the second half of the 13th century to the secularization of the princedom (1803). The castle also hosts a museum.

The building, dating back to the 13th century, was for a long time property of the Cappello family, whose crest is carved on the arch in the courtyard. The close relation between the Cappello and the Capuleti family has led to the conviction that it was the house of Giulietta, heroine of the tragedy written by Shakespeare (although she is a fictive figure). The actual appearance of the house stems from a radical restauration at the beginning of the 20th century, that had the intent to reconstruct an ideal medieval housing.

Sie beleuchtet die neuesten wissenschaftlichen Erkenntnisse, umfasst aber auch Kurioses und Absurdes. Wie ein roter Faden schlängelt sich durch die Ausstellung die spannende Frage: Was macht Ötzi mit uns?

Die Sonderausstellung wird die gesamte Ausstellungsfläche des Museumsgebäudes für sich beanspruchen: Vier Etagen stehen jeweils unter einem der Themen life, science, fiction und reality und umfassen die gesamte Bandbreite von Ötzis Entdeckung, seinen Lebensumständen, den Forschungsergebnissen, der Medienrealität sowie der Fiktionen und Fragen, die um Ötzi herum entstanden sind. Jedes Stockwerk präsentiert sich in einem eigenen, vom Thema inspirierten Design und Material und gewährt neue Perspektiven von Ein- und Durchsichten.

Fiction: Kurioses rund um die Gestalt von Ötzi.
Zur Ausstellungseröffnung von Ötzi²º stellt das Südtiroler Archäologiemuseum der Öffentlichkeit eine neue Rekonstruktion von Ötzi vor, die auf anatomischen 3D-Aufnahmen des Skeletts basiert. Zwei renommierte Experten aus den Niederlanden, Alfons und Adrie Kennis, die bereits dem Neandertaler ein Gesicht gaben, arbeiten bereits daran. Das neue Gesicht und die neue Gestalt von Ötzi lösen das bisherige öffentliche Bild vom Mann aus dem Eis ab.

Die britische Künstlerin Marilène Oliver zeigt in der Sonderausstellung eine Installation aus dem Jahr 2007, die mit der Vielschichtigkeit der Mumie spielt. Mit "Ötzi: Frozen, Scanned and Plotted" (auch "Iceman" genannt) hat Oliver den CT-Scan des Leichnams aus dem Eis in Bildpunkte übersetzt, die sie in Acrylscheiben Schicht für Schicht gebohrt und anschließend zu einem Block zusammengefügt hat.

Die Südtiroler Fotokünstlerin Brigitte Niedermair ist europaweit auf die Suche nach dem "Bild von Ötzi" gegangen, das sich Ausstellungsmacher von ihm schaffen. Ihre Fotografien im Großformat halten zahlreiche Ötzi-Rekonstruktionen in verschiedensten Kontexten und Interpretationsfacetten fest.

The custom of striking a wooden disk is carried out on the first Sunday of Lent. First a round disc of wood with a hole in the middle is transfixed on a branch. Then the disc is held into the fire until it is glowing. Afterwards it is taken out and tossed away through the dark night. The people watch the shiny piece of wood disappearing in the night. While this custom is carried out ancient rhymes are repeated.

Höhepunkt der ganzjährigen Tätigkeit ist ein Symposion im Herbst zu einem speziellen Thema. Es geht darin weniger um eine kirchenmusikalische Fachtagung, sondern mehr um den Menschen in seiner Beziehung mit der Welt und mit Gott, in seinen Lebensäußerungen in Musik und Religion, um seine Hoffnungen, Ängste und Sehnsüchte, die sich im Medium Musik widerspiegeln.

From the 23rd - 25th May, Palazzo Roccabruna hosts the 77th Mostra Vini del Trentino (Trentino Wine Exhibition). From 5 - 10pm visitors can make themselves at home in the magnificent halls and gardens of this building, to sample the wines and grappa. Taste different types of wine and the best labels in production with a chance to learn more about the wines at meetings held in the training room. In the Barchessa restaurant, chefs from the Wine and flavours route will be preparing unique dishes to pair with local wines.
On Sunday the exhibitions expands to include local wineries with the Cantine Aperte (Open winery) event, for a chance to directly visit and get to know the wine producers of Trentino.

The "palazzo ducale" (duke palace) is a complex of buildings constructed between the 14th and the 17th century, mainly as residence for the Gonzaga familiy. The group of buildings has an area of about 34.000 m2, and encompasses around 500 rooms.
The palace was restored during the 20th century, and successively designated as a museum. It hosts the famous frescos of Mantegna in the "Camera degli Sposi" ("room of the fiancés").

The "Casa del Mantegna" (House of the Mantegna), whose construction was started in 1476, is considered to be the first true "artits' residence" in the history of art.

Santiago Calatrava is a famous spanish architect and engineer, whose works are inspired mainly by organic shapes and structures. The elegance of his works make them recognizable immediately.
Currently Reggio Emilia is the only city in the world which features three bridge constructions from Calatrava.

The architectural ensemble centered around the Piazza Grande with its Romanesque cathedral (San Geminiano) and the bell tower "Torre Ghirlandina" (height 88 m) has been declared world cultural heritage in 1997 by the UNESCO.
